Property description
Renovations in 2011 have created a stylish, yet authentic, French country house offering all modern comforts & amenities. The kitchen is fully equipped to create any feast, with a large double oven and gas cooktop. Each room is spaciously proportioned, with beautiful views over the rolling green valley to the south or the village to the west. All five bedrooms have large double beds. In the two upstairs bedrooms, the double beds can separate to become singles. There are four fullsize bathrooms and one shower-room ensuite. The living room features an ancient stone fireplace rescued from the ruins of a nearby crumbling chateau.

Location description
In the heart of the southern Dordogne, Villa Ste Therese is just 700metres from Monpazier, "One of the Most Beautiful Villages in France". Explore nearby historic Chateaux: Monbazillac, Biron & Lanquais. Minutes to great wineries, gorgeous villages, glorious public gardens like Marqueyssac. Dive into the bustling weekly village markets, or simply relax under a shady tree in the Villa's orchard, walk through the nearby forests of Biron, laze by the large pool, or just unwind on the terrace overlooking Monpazier as the sun sets. In cooler months, snuggle before a blazing fire in the ancient stone fireplace.
The grounds were landscaped 50 years ago, in the French tradition of a gentleman's country house - hedging, shaped shrubs, established large deciduous trees, creating a vista in all shades of greens. A series of stone-walled terraces on the southern slopes make the gardens down to the orchard below a wonderful place to stroll and explore, while the northern lawn has plenty of room for petanque, badminton, volleyball or even cricket. The 10m x 5m pool has a summer gazebo for midday shade.
Monpazier is half an hour from Bergerac Airport or Train Station. It's also 119km to Bordeaux, or 127km to Toulouse, or 479km to Paris.

Rental fee includes end-of-stay cleaning, bed linen, bathroom and pool towels (any extra cleaning or linen requests will be charged separately).
Heating fee applies in winter (start October - end April, depending on weather)
Pool open mid-May to end-September (depending on weather).
In quieter months, flexible midweek stays and weekend mini-breaks available, upon request.
Terms and conditions
Strictly NO SMOKING
No pets allowed, sorry.
We cannot accept children under FIVE, for safety reasons: the pool is alarmed but not fenced, and the southern slopes of the property feature steep stone terraces.
Guests welcome all year: weekly rentals, Sat 5pm to Sat 10am.
A refundable security deposit will be requested with final payment.
