Les Gites Fleuris is located on a quiet semi-private single lane road, nestled amongst the idyllic countryside, in a hamlet of 18th century stone perigordian farmhouses. The Pool, Jacuzzi, and sundeck are situated in the tranquil orchard, surrounded by grass, trees and flowers.
Only 2 km is the dramatic Chateau de Hautefort! A magnificent 17th C Chateau that rivals those in the Loire Valley.
The 2 stone Perigordian farm cottages share a courtyard. They are 2 separate fully equipped houses. Each enjoys it's own privacy, yet, there are communal places to enjoy! Perfect for a large family, extended family, or friends on holiday together.
La Petite Rose is a charming restored traditional 18th c. stone 1 bedroom home with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, living room with big fireplace, TV with DVD player, wireless internet access, and CD player. The Wisteria House is a beautifully restored traditional stone farmhouse with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, separate WC, living room with big stone fireplace, TV, DVD player, Wifi, and CD player. The 3 bedrooms, all upstairs, have the traditional feature of beamed ceilings, and fantastic views from the windows! There are 2 balconies, one enjoys the morning sun, and the other is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunset over the valley.Both houses have an outdoor dining terrace with barbeque, a wonderful place to relax over a home cooked meal!
Relaxation is easy, either poolside on the sundeck, in the Jacuzzi, or on a hammock; or enjoy a peaceful stroll of the property acreage of fruit and walnut trees.
Les Gites Fleuris is family friendly with: ping-pong, badminton/volleyball, croquet, swinging on the swing set, or in the children’s raised fort with climbing wall. An indoor games room will keep all the family entertained with billiards, games, toys, ping pong, and Disney video cassettes. Plus, if you eat too much, there is an indoor exercise room. There is a central laundry room with washing machines and dryers which you can use at no extra charge. Perigord is THE place to go if you love truffles and foie gras. This little corner of Southwest France is home to the black truffle, one of the most famous and expensive luxury foods of France. (Truffle Markets are open in Winter!) It is also the land of foie gras-- that typical French delicacy made from fattened goose or duck liver, along with other Canard specialty dishes. We have many good restaurants in the area. The wine regions of Bergerac and Bordeaux are only 1 hour to 1.5 hours away.
Step back in time to the old France of farms and castles and caves and stone villages; and after touring, enjoy a wonderful bottle of Bergerac or Bordeaux Wine with some of France's famous cheeses!

Location description
Hautefort is a great bicycling and walking area with rolling hillsides and lovely forest and valley views. All services are within walking distance: 1 km to boulangerie, grocery store, and bank. 2 km to tabac, post
office, and the office of tourism. 2.5km to a swimming lake.
You feel "away from it all" but you are not!
Hautefort has the magnificent 17c castle to visit. A musuem of medicine, and nearby Tourtoirac opened the magnificent grotte (cave) that has spectacular formations.
Enjoy open air farmers markets. One every day of the week at a nearby village.
There are many famous tourist sites: grottes (caves), Troglodyte sites, Bastille towns, Castles, and old villages are within a 1-hour radius away (Lascaux is only 20 minutes).Valley’s with castles where one can easily imagine bandits, knights in armor and the primitive life of the peasants.
