Property description
Villa Hibiscus is one of 3 Holiday homes at Le Four a Sel, situated in a quiet village 2km from Montignac, Dordogne, in South West France. Tucked away in a stunning riverside setting , this 15 acre property beside the Vezere river is the perfect place to relax and unwind . Secluded but not isolated, it is only 10 minutes from shops and restaurants in Montignac and the prehistoric Lascaux caves, and 24 km from Sarlat with easy access to many tourist sites of the area.
The house is a converted perigordian stonehouse facing southeast, with stunning views of surrounding cornfields from the bedroom window It is bright and airy with 4 bedrooms sleeping 7 adults or 8 if with children. The spacious master bedroom is decorated in traditional French antique furniture , with a sleigh double bed and mahogany wardrobe. A cot can be added in the master bedroom if needed
Accommodation comprises:
- American Kitchen / Dining area - with dining table and 8 chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, fridge/freezer, 4 ring gas stove, kettle, toaster, coffeemaker, dishwasher.
- Lounge - with large 3 piece suite, TV, DVD player. A selection of DVD’s can be hired from reception. WiFi is available
- Two double bedrooms - main bedroom decorated in traditional french style with a mahogany sleigh bed
- Twin bedroom - with 2 single beds
- Single room - with a single bed that can be replaced with a bunk bed to accommodate 2 children.
- Bathroom - (shower) large walk-in area and WC, 2 sinks

Location description
Le Four a Sel is in the village of Aubas, 2km from Montignac & the prehistoric Lascaux caves and 25 minutes from the medieval town of Sarlat & Les Eyzies. Popular Tourist sites like Chateau Hautefort, Domme, the feudal fortress of Commargue, the gardens of Marquessac, Roque Gageac ,a village carved on a hilltop, Roque St. Christophe , the medieval village of Castlenaud are not far away. We are in the Perigord Noir where you can sample the regional delights of foie gras, truffles,and walnuts.
Closest airport Brive/Souillac(40 minutes drive) Bergerac & Limoges (1hr 30 min). Bordeaux airport is 1hr 45 minutes, and the vineyards of St. Emillion can be visited as a day trip. For walkers, cyclists or those who simply like to take a gentle drive along meandering country lanes, this is a magnificent corner of France to explore not least because, with every twist & turn, there's something new to discover.

Terms and conditions
A 25% deposit is required to guarantee the reservation. The balance is made 10 weeks before arrival. There is a security deposit of 200€ payable with final balance.
