Property description

Le Fournil is a 3 bedroomed cottage reminiscent of old rural France with rugged beams and exposed stone work creating a wonderful homely atmosphere. This cottage is one of 6 restored cottages and was once the workshop for the farmhands who looked after the estate and the bread oven in the living area would have been the source of the delicious aroma of freshly baked loaves. The oven stretches back for over 2m and is still in working order today.

The accommodation consists of an open plan kitchen/living room and one double ensuite bedroom downstairs and upstairs there are two bedrooms (one with 3 single bedsand one  with a king size bed & one single bed) and a spacious family bathroom . Outside the terrace faces towards the swimming pool and has garden funiture and a parasol as well as a BBQ.

Les Crouquets has a 16m x 6m salt water heated pool, 9 hole pitch & putt course, free laundry, wi-fi internet connection,badminton net, table tennis and a spacious games barn with lots for everyone to do. There are swings, chute, sand pit and a paddling pool for little children and an animal enclosure with Susie the donkey, sheep and hens.

Location description

Les Crouquets holiday cottages are situated in the heart of the Perigord Noir surrounded by walnut groves and corn fields ,hidden away from the trappings of busy modern life yet still within easy reach of all amenities. There are plenty of restaurants and most of the main Dordogne tourist attractions are within easy driving distance.

Les Crouquets is served by several airports, the nearest being Bergerac or Limoges.The nearest village is Jayac which is reached via the A 89 and A 20 motorways. Trains also run to Brive station which is 29 kms away.
