Property description

Le Jardin des Juilleries in the Dordogne is an traditional stone farmhouse within an acre of land containing flower gardens and an orchard of walnut and fruit trees. Both the house and garden have been managed on organic principles for over 15 years.

The house has an oak-beamed living room with wood burning stove. There are three bedrooms (two with double beds and one with twin beds). A futon bed can be put in the living room if required. The bathroom has both bath and shower.

This is a family home in a small farming hamlet, let out for a few weeks a year to those who enjoy peace, a good library, the countryside and evenings under the stars. There is no television or swimming pool.

Location description

The surrounding countryside of the Parc Naturel Perigord-Limousin is perfect for cycling, walking and has an abundance of wildlife. Near by there is a beautiful lake of St Saud la Coussiere, providing excellent swimming which has a life guard present for the children's area. There is also an adventure playground and a bar/restaurant in the woods.

In the historic market town of Brantome, the Venice of the Dordogne, canoes and cycles can be hired.

Within easy reach are the chateaux of Puyguilhem and Bourdeilles as is one of the most beautiful villages in France, St Jean de Cole
