Property description
For 5 - 6 people, Le Fournil - the old Bake House with the original bread oven being just one of the many features to be found in this detached house - offers 100 sq. metres of comfortable accommodation.
The gite is comfortably furnished with a fully equipped kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and table and chairs for 6.
Separate livingroom with easy chairs and settee.
Independent staircases lead to each of the two bedrooms, one with a double and single bed, the other with three singles. Two downstairs bathrooms each have bath with overhead shower, washbasin and toilet.
The large, private sunny terrace, accessed by french doors from the kitchen and the living room, has views over the meadow to the woods beyond and features a pergola offering morning shade and a comfortable space to sit out in the evenings. Table and chairs for 6 plus parasol and barbecue.

Location description
L'Echappée Verte is an ensemble of six perigourdine holiday gites situated in the southern Dordogne region of South West France.
Whilst in secluded countryside, L'Echappée Verte is just ten minutes between the picturesque medieval towns of Belvès and Monpazier with all amenities, 40 minutes to Sarlat and only 50 minutes from Bergerac and its airport with direct flights from the UK, Brussels and Amsterdam. The many high quality attractions including caves, castles, canoeing and air parks, markets and local producers are a short drive away.
L'Echappée Verte is a perfect country getaway for groups, families and couples with a securely fenced, heated 45 x 20ft swimming pool and toddler's pool open from May to mid September, a mini football pitch (tucked away from the gites!), play area, games room with table tennis, boules, badminton and pool house. Parents can relax as children have space to make other friends, wander safely and enjoy both the amenities provided and the spacious surroundings.
Group bookings and short breaks (min 2 nights) are welcome outside July and August. Parties have use of the function room and equipped kitchen for events or family celebrations. Bicycles are available locally to explore nearby villages and runners have an extensive network forest tracks and quiet lanes together with a series of signposted walking circuits.
There is an abundance of wildflowers in the meadows, chestnut and oak woodlands, together with walnut and fig trees. Deer may be spotted in the woods and meadows in the early evening. Buzzards, woodpeckers, wild boar and badgers may be seen locally, whilst the lizards, many coloured beetles and other insects fascinate children and adults alike.
A chilled bottle of wine awaits your arrival together with a selection of breakfast essentials. Bed linen, shower and hand towels are provided and we endeavour to make up beds for your arrival! Poolside towels are not provided.
Icecreams and cold drinks are available from the Pool Bar and the local boulangerie delivers freshly baked bread and croissants each morning during high season. A local babysitter is available so that parents can enjoy dinner in one of the many restaurants of the area. On site we have English satellite TV /French terrestrial channels and a DVD player with some DVDs, board games, books for adults and children, internet access available. There is also a separate laundry room.
