Summary
Charming three bedroom cottage and perfect for a family holiday or for two couples wanting to explore the area. Their is fabulous walking and cycling in the area - we can lend bikes or borrow our canoes for a great day out on the river.
Property description
You find are exposed stone walls, an open fire place and double doors leading onto your own private terrace and garden.
The kitchen is ideal for self catering and comes fully equipped with dishwasher, oven, microwave and fridge/freezer. There are also laundry facilities in an adjacent utility room.
In the Lounge you will find satellite TV with DVD and Video player.
On the first floor there are 2 double bedrooms each with room for a cot if required and 1 triple with bunk beds and a single bed; ideal for children and families.
There is also a shower room and separate toilet on the first floor with a further toilet on the ground floor.

Location description
Chauffour gites are in a peaceful hamlet and surrounded by sunflower fields and vineyards. Just a few minutes away are the villages of Allemans and St. Severin where you can find bakeries, banks, post office and a supermarket. The bustling market town of Riberac, famed for its huge Friday market, is just 10 minutes away.
We're 1 hour from Angouleme and Bergerac, 1.5 hours from Bordeaux, 2 hours from Limoges. The new airport at Brive, due to open shortly, is also within easy reach. Ryanair, Easyjet and Flybe all offer low cost flights from the UK, and Air France and Aer Lingus offer flights from Dublin, Ireland into Bordeaux. The ferry ports of St. Malo and Caen are all within a comfortable days drive making Chauffour ideally placed for your holiday in the Dordogne.
There are plenty of activities to enjoy - cycling, walking and canoeing - we have bikes available for our guests to use or let us organise a day on the river in our canoe complete with life jackets and inclusive of transport and lunch too. Other things to do include visiting the caves at Lascaux, chateau at Hautefort and the beatiful town of Brantome or the city of Perigueux. When this all gets too much for you just sit and relax in our lovely mature gardens by the 12 x 6 metre pool.

May, June and September £400/425 euros for up to 4 people and then 50 pounds per additional person up to maximum of 7.
Jan-Apr and Oct -Dec £350/400 euros
