Property description
A charming old stone property set within 5 acres of grounds.
Lovingly restored to provide high quality accommodation yet preserving the original character with old oak beams and the honey coloured stone of the region.
From the courtyard an arched doorway leads to a spacious room with two independent sitting areas one with large flat screen television and the other with a dining table.
French windows open onto the large south-facing terrace with your own BBQ. The terrace overlooks the swimming pool and woods beyond, just the place for that pre-dinner drink.
A large well-equipped kitchen ideal for guests who love cooking with a door leading back onto the terrace.
Upstairs are three ensuite double bedded rooms (two with showers and one with bath) each individually furnished to a high standard and enjoying views over the garden and swimming pool.
The swimming pool is fenced for security and regularly checked and maintained. A lovely pool area, non slip paving with sun loungers and parasols for all. With its roman steps an ideal place to cool off and relax with a good book.
The owners live on site but in a seperate property so that guests enjoy their own privacy. Guests have exclusive use of the swimming pool. The owners are available should any problem or emergency occur.

Location description
The Dordogne is famous for its food and wine so the Tuesday and Saturday markets in Le Bugue just a few minutes drive are the ideal place to test your French and try a few tastings. Le Bugue also has a number of supermarkets, banks, pharmacies and a medical centre.
If history is your interest then visit the Museum of Pre-History in nearby Les Eyzies a UNESCO site of special importance with its many caves including the world famous Font de Gaume.
Les Eyzies and Le Bugue are both on the Vezere river and canoes can be hired for either a couple of hours or a full day. If you are less energetic then sit at one of the many pavement cafes and marvel at the scenery. There is so much to do in the region cycling, fishing, golf (a course only 5 minutes from "chez nous"), horse-riding, sailing, tennis and a number of theme/adventure parks.
Both the region's capital town of Perigueux and medieval Sarlat are within easy reach. Explore their ancient quarters with lovely old buildings housing specialist shops and restaurants. Bergerac set amidst its vineyards is just 45 minutes away and the St Emilion and Bordeaux wine regions are a little further to the west.
The scenery of the region is very special and there is much to see and do whether it is visiting one of the many castles or gardens along the Dordogne and Vezere Rivers or simply relaxing by the pool.
We are sure you will enjoy your stay in France and especially your visit to North of the Dordogne. Many people return year after year bringing friends and family to sample the delights of the region.

A 25% Deposit is required to confirm the booking with the balance payable 8 weeks before the date of the holiday. In the event of a cancellation the owners will make every effort to re-let the property.
A £200 Security Deposit is payable when the balance of the payment is due which and is returnable subject to any deductions for breakages/damage/or additional cleaning.
We suggest that our guests take out a Travel Insurance Policy for their protection.
We accept payment by sterling cheque drawn on a UK bank or a euro cheque drawn on a French bank. Alternatively, we can accept a bank electronic transfer (any charges being paid by the renter).
