La Forge is one of three beautiful riverside homes at Le Banquet, set in stunningly magnificent 3 acre gardens and in a village location. Pool & toddler’s pool have plenty of sun beds & umbrellas. Children are well catered for with a play area & acres of space to play. The Wi-Fi enabled games barn houses table tennis, football, pool, board games, DVD library, toddler’s toys etc.
Property description
La Forge at Le Banquet sleeps 5 in comforft - a pretty riverside cottage.
This beautiful stone cottage has been restored with a wealth of exposed beams, local stone & woodwork offering modern convenience together with romantic rusticity.
The sunken French style kitchen opens on to a large living & dining area, with polished oak floors & exposed stonework.
Upstairs is a modern bathroom with bath & shower plus 2 good sized bedrooms, one double & one twin (which can convert to a triple if required, sleeping 5). Each window opens out to views across the pretty river and hills beyond.
The cottage has a private riverside terrace, perfect for bbq's and outdoor meals.
All of our cottages are very well equipped, including UK TV, DVD player, dishwasher, washing machine etc.
We also provide linen, towels, tea towels, dish cloths, washing up liquid, cleaning materials, bin liners, foil, loo rolls, dishwasher tabs etc.

Location description
Le Banquet is on the edge of the of the dramatic village of Les Eyzies with many properties built into the rocks and is just 20 minutes drive from the world famous medieval town of Sarlat
Dramatic rock faces, sparkling rivers, green valleys, Chateaux, medieval villages, prehistoric caves indeed the UNESCO Font de Gaume caves are just 1/2 km from Le Banquet.
As you pass fields of sunflowers and corn and marvel at castles towering at the top of cliffs or visit the many 'Beau Villages' in the surrounding area you begin to understand why the Dordogne has been descibed by some as paradise.
The area surrounding Le Banquet is dominated by pre-history, beautiful architecture and gastronomy.
The local markets are full to brimming with some of the best produce France has to offer.
Whether you wish to visit the local caves with their drawings dating back 20,000 years, picnic by the banks of the Vezere River, taste the excellent wines from Bergerac and surround or canoe, horse ride and perhaps fish, Le Banquet is at the very heart of it all.
If you are a food lover, then welcome to gastronomic heaven! Foie Gras, cepes, truffles and excellent restaurants - the region has it all.

Terms and conditions
Our rental prices includes: all bed linen, bath and hand towels, electricity, water, gas, local taxes, end of stay cleaning and a welcome bottle of wine.
Rentals are based on a Saturday to Saturday basis but we are happy to be flexible outside of the summer season.
Pool towels are available to rent at 5 euros per person and are issued for the duration of your stay.
If you are arriving later in the evening then we can shop on your behalf for basic groceries, but please allow us 7 days notice
A damage deposit is required and will be refunded in full within 14 days of the end of your holiday unless the accommodation or it's contents are damaged or the accommodation is left in a condition that necessitates extra cleaning time to return it to the high standard in which it is presented
