Our gites are situated in the beautiful Dordogne valley close to the attractive town of Bergerac and all its amenities and excellently located to explore the South West of France. The property is easily accessible, whilst providing complete privacy and tranquility to relax and unwind. Its 3½ acres are surrounded by vineyards and fruit trees and enjoys stunning views of the valley.
Property description
Grange D'hibou, our first Dordogne gite, is a charming 2 ensuite bedroom contemporary holiday home providing high quality accommodation for 4 or 6 guests.
Originally a cattle barn and home to our residential barn owl who has now taken up lodgings in another outbuilding, we have converted this space to retain original features. Downstairs is all open plan and enjoys a floor to ceiling window to maximise the stunning view. A new woodburner has also been installed for those wintry nights.
Upstairs the bedrooms are set apart by a gallery view overlooking downstairs. The bedrooms are spacious and airy both with their own ensuite bathroom. You can also enjoy your own private enclosed swimming pool with south-facing decking and sun-loungers.

Our gites are located in Saussignac which is in between Bergerac and Sainte Foy La Grande.
Price Details
High season (July - August) - 900 euros
Mid/High season (June, September) - 720 euros
Mid/Low season (May, October) - 600 euros
Low season (January - April, November, December) - 420 euros
Prices are per week. Please contact us for stays of a different length of time. Prices may change according to currency fluctuations.
Terms and conditions
1. All bookings accepted by the owners are subject to these conditions which are deemed to have been accepted in full by the hirer and acting on behalf of all other parties mentioned on the completed booking form.
2. Confirmation of your booking will be given upon receipt of your completed booking form and your deposit of £200. For bookings of 2 weeks or longer during peak and mid-season, we ask for a deposit of £150 for each week of your booking. The full cost of hire must be received by the owners no later than 8 weeks prior to the hire commencement date. If a booking is made less than 8 weeks prior to the hire commencement date, the full cost of hire, together with the deposit, must be received by the owners with the completed booking form. If the full cost of hire is not received 8 weeks prior to the hire commencement date, the booking will be deemed cancelled and the hirer will forfeit their deposit.
3. Cancellation of booking must be received in writing by the owners not less than 8 weeks prior to the hire commencement date. If notification is received by the owners more than 8 weeks prior to the hire commencement date, the deposit will only be refunded if the Property is re-let. If notification is received less than 8 weeks prior to the hire commencement date, the deposit will not be refunded and the full cost of hire must be paid unless the owners are able to re-let the Property. If the full cost of hire has already been paid, this together with the deposit will only be refunded if the Property is re-let.
4. The cost of rental includes all services, i.e. water, electricity and gas. The cost for the provision of linen and towels for use inside the gite are also included.
5. Except in the case of normal wear and tear, the hirer will be held responsible for any damage to the Property and/or its contents. Any damage must be reported without delay to the owners. The cost of repair must be agreed by both the owners and the hirer, the amount which must then be paid in full to the owners. At the end of the period of hire the deposit of £200 will be returned in full after the property has been inspected by the owners and found to be left in a satisfactory condition.
6. The hirer is responsible in ensuring that only the persons listed on the Booking Form may occupy the Property during the period of hire. This number may not be exceeded in any circumstances unless prior permission is obtained in writing by the owners. The Property cannot be re-let/sub-let to any other group/party unless written approval is obtained by the owners.
7. The Property will be available for occupation from 4pm on the first date of hire and must be vacated by 10am on the final date of hire.
8. The owners may not be held liable or be at risk of prosecution for the actions that may cause injury to any members of the hirer's party or damage to the personal effects of any member of the hirer's party during the booking period.
9. Upon request, there will be a cot and a high-chair available for your use. However, linen for the cot is not provided.
10. Any complaints about the Property or its contents must be made immediately to the owners. The owners shall not be held liable for any complaint submitted after the completion of the hire period.
11. Please do not smoke within the Property.
12. No pets allowed.
The Property hire cost does not include any personal insurance cover of any kind. It is strongly recommended that Personal Accident, Cancellation, Travel and Medical Insurance are taken out.
