Property description

Villa Rosa Sarlat is a beautiful 19th Century period property (270 m²) secluded in grounds of four acres, with private pool, tennis court and summer house (55 m²). Just a 7min.walk from the medieval town centre and good restaurants. With 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms it accommodates up to 12 people.

Ideal for family reunions, special occasions, golf, cycling or walking groups. The interconnecting sitting and dining rooms and fully fitted kitchen are on the ground floor, with access to sunny or shaded terraces for al-fresco dining. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on each of the two upper floors, with an independent toilet on each of the three floors. There is a separate laundry room with washing, drying and ironing facilities.

The spacious summerhouse, adjacent to the pool and BBQ, has teak dining furniture, comfortable seating around a stone fireplace, kitchen area and changing room with shower and wc. The 12.5mx6.5m pool has a solar shower and is surrounded by paved terraces with sunloungers and parasols. Tennis, garden swings, football, boules and extensive landscaped gardens. Wireless internet access and Satellite TV.

Location description

Sarlat is situated in the heart of Périgord Noir, the most beautiful part of the Dordogne valley in South West France. There are caves to visit, not only prehistoric with paintings (as at Lascaux and Les Eyzies) but also spectacular underground limestone caves (at Domme and Le Grand Roc) and chasms (at Proumeyssac).

The flambuoyant chateaux at Beynac, Castlenaud, Hautfort rival those of the Loire valley. The region boasts many gastronomique delights including foie gras (rich goose liver), truffles (exquisite black mushrooms), confit (preserved duck) and Cabecou (goats cheese). All can be savoured with locally produced wine from the Bergerac vineyards.

Sarlat has been described as 'the jewel in the crown' with its medieval centre, architectural heritage, famous Saturday market and unique atmosphere provided by its street entertainment in Summer.

Within a 10km radius there are opportunities for golfing, walking, canoeing, cycling and enjoying the breath-taking scenery.

Terms and conditions

A 25% deposit is required to secure a booking with the balance due 6 weeks before arrival. The deposit is refundable provided an alternative booking for the same perod is obtained. Once the balance has been paid no refund is possible.

Prices are fully inclusive of bed linen, towels and pool towels (all changed weekly during stays of 2 or more weeks), electricity, water and gas charges. There is an end of stay cleaning suppliment of 100 Euro. There is a suppliment for central heating October to April.
