Gites: (accommodation for a group of up to 15 people)Le Rosier is a fully equipped spacious 2 bedroomed gite ( 65 m²) with large living room, raised corner kitchen, bathroom with WC, use of large garden. Racachi is a fully equipped spacious 2 bedroomed gite ( 72 m²) with large split level sejour, kitchen, bathroom with WC, private terrace for dining/ BBQ, large garden. La Petite Maison is a fully equipped, open plan one-bedroomed gite with large living room, corner kitchen, totalling 40 m² (plusmezzanine).B&BBed & Breakfast 4 en suite rooms are available for up to 15 people

Location description

Penne d’Agenais is a beautiful unspoilt medieval bastide village, with traditional stone and  brick buildings, narrow streets, some arts & crafts shops and a choice from half a dozen places to sample the gastronomic delights of Lot et Garonne. It is perfectly located to explore the spectacular Lot Valley be it by car, on bikes or on foot.

• By air: 45 mins from Bergerac Airport; 90 mins from Toulouse or Bordeaux airports
• By train: 2 minutes from Penne Gare with links to Agen, Bordeaux, Paris TGV, & Eurostar
• By ferry: 6-8 hrs from ferry ports{mospagebreak}

Penne D'Agenais is one of the most picturesque bastide villages in the region, boasting 5 restaurants or cafes as well as numerous craft businesses, such as pottery and art studios. The village is home to the impressive Basilica, Notre Dame de Peyragude, which overlooks the village and the River Lot. Villeneuve sur Lot, a 10 min drive away, is the nearest town with a wide choice of eating houses, museums, twice weekly markets and plenty of entertainment in the high season.Domaine de France is 30 mins from Agen, the Prefecture of Lot et Garonne and commercial centre for the surrounding fruit growing region. There is plenty of shopping, restaurants, Top 16 rugby and Parc Walibi is nearby.Motor boats and canoes/ kayaks are available for hire from Port de Penne.

Domaine de France is close to water based activities: boating, canoeing, water skiing ( a water ski school is nearby) on the River Lot ( 5 mins from property) ; there are plenty of equestrian centres in nearby region; Golf at Villeneuve or Agen nearby; easy access to cycle routes along the Lot and its tributaries; many marked walking routes go through Penne (including Chemin de Compostelle)- ideal for 'ramblers'!;
