Palombe

La Palombe the largest of our properties has been beautifully renovated to provide a perfect home with all modern comforts.

Enter from the covered verandah to the large country kitchen with open fireplace, oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge, washing machine. (Tumble dryer for use in winter). Door to rear patio. There is a large baronial style lounge open to the eaves with many oak beams and exposed stone walls. There is comfortable seating for 12. DVD player & I pod / CD player. Wifi is available, X box with games and english television.

On the ground floor there is a twin and double bedroom and bathroom and on the first floor a double bedroom offering walk in wardrobe, an ensuite bathroom and a further single bedroom off the hallway.

Bed linen and towels are inclusive. We have high chairs and cots if required by our younger guests. Childrens play area, swings etc. DVD's and games provided.

The terrace is complete with furniture and BBQ.

The property can open into La Colchique a 3 bedroom cottage with further kitchen, spacious lounge with log fire and three bedrooms, the master with double bed, the second double with twin beds and a third with single bed. There is a shower room on the ground floor and two wc's.  Wifi available.

Sleeps 7 (La Palombe) and 12 (with La Colchique)

Cachette

"The hideway" is the smallest of our properties. Both the bedroom, bathroom, lounge, kitchen and dining area are all open to the eaves. There is one bedroom with double and single bed and ensuite bathroom.

The large room at the front of the property consists of a comfortable relaxing area with soft furnishings, a dining area and a kitchen equipped with electric cooker, fridge and washing machine. There is a television with built-in dvd player and wifi is available. DVD's and games are available.

Leading from this room through french doors is a covered private patio with bbq and garden furniture.  The sunsets and views over fields are simply beautiful on a sunny day. If you are into wildlife do look out for deer, hedgehogs, hares, toads and bats including many unusual birds and tree frogs.

Sleeps 3

L'Atelier

L'Atelier is our two bedroom property, again lovingly restored and equipped with that home from home feeling. A spacious open plan lounge/kitchen area comfortably seating 6 with dining table and chairs. The kitchen offers oven, hob, fridge and washing machine. On the first floor there is a double bedroom and the second double offers three single beds.  A seperate door from the hallway leads to the bathroom / wc.  L'Atelier has a large outside terrace with bbq and views towards the shared pool.

Location description

Set in the rolling hills and gentle valleys of the Lot et Garonne and Dordogne borders, Courtalou is the perfect place to spend your holiday, short break or long weekend.

The typical French bastide town of Villereal is close by, here you will find all the shops that you will require whilst on holiday including supermarkets, bakers, newsagents, chemists and of course restaurants and bars. The larger towns of Bergerac and Villeneuve are approximately 30 minutes.

The area is abundant in history with many castles and medieval towns such as Monpazier and Monflanquin. Try the famous Monbazillac, Bergerac and Bordeaux wines and the famous regional gastronomic specialities. After you may want to try the canoe trips along the Dordogne, swimming and water sports lakes, golf at nearby Castelnaud, horseriding, fishing lakes, tennis and many more other activities, or alternatively just enjoy the naturally slower pace of life and relax around our own walled swimming pool with pool alarm.

Price Details

£1000 - £1500 per week depending upon dates chosen.

Terms and conditions

50% deposit payable to confirm booking. Remaining monies due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
