Summary
The Hay Barn is the most spacious of our three, 2 person, gites which all share a swimming pool. The gites have all been renovated and furnished to the same level of comfort as our Main House which sleeps 12. The largest gite, the Tobacco Barn sleeps 5/6 guests in 3 en suite bedrooms. The 2 other spacious gites - the Walnut Store and La Roque Terrace - are each designed for 2 people. Each unit is fully self-contained, with kitchen, lounge, bedroom and en suite bathroom, and has a terrace with outdoor dining and BBQ. Alternatively the house and 4 gites would be suitable for very large groups of up to 24 people. The complex is ideal for families and groups of friends.

Property description
The Hay Barn is our most spacious gîte for a couple. It overlooks the swimming pool, and has a very large private terraced area with your own sunbeds, with plenty of space for outdoor barbecuing and dining. The double bedroom has views down the valley, and an ensuite bathroom. The living area has many natural stone features, exposed oak beams in its high ceiling, and a corner fireplace with a wood-burning stove for cooler evenings. A satellite (freeview) TV is available for guests. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fan oven with gas burners, a microwave, and a fridge. There is access to a freezer and a washing machine. Free Wifi. The kitchen has recently been updated and repainted making it brighter and with the addition of a new oven the area is an excellent space for cooking!

Location description
Les Granges is well situated to explore all that the Perigord has to offer, the caves of Lascaux, the towns of Sarlat, Beynac, Domme, Perigueux. Directly opposite is Le Roque St Christophe, the site of a small Bastide town dating back 55,000 years and inhabited up to the 16th century. This kilometer long cave carved into the rock thousands of years ago is lit up at night and makes a spectacular view from the properties. There are many sites dating back to Prehistoric times, caves, grottos, cave paintings, all situated in the most beautiful countryside. The Perigord is noted also for its gastronomy, foie gras, truffles, confit de canard, wild mushrooms and walnuts! We are surrounded by pretty villages, all with markets at least once a week, giving our renters the opportunity to experiment with the local produce.
You can go horse riding, walking, cycling, canoeing or just sit and relax!

Terms and conditions
30% Deposit is required to secure the booking, balance payable 10 weeks before arrival.
A final cleaning charge of €30 is payable on departure. There will be a nominal charge for a supply of logs during winter months. Shorter stays are possible during low season (not June, July or August).
Refundable breakage deposit of €200 required on arrival.
Payment is accepted by both French and English bank transfer or French or English cheque.
