Property description

The Property   Here at La Treille you will find three separate holiday cottages.  Recently renovated from the Old Tobacco Barn and retaining many of the original features including exposed beams, traditional stone walls and a feature bread oven - all blending perfectly with the comforts and appliances of modern living.  The gites are light and airy in the summer, cosy and warm in the winter.  Fitted out with all mod cons to ensure you have a wonderful 'stress free' holiday.
 
In a most glorious hillside setting in the Dronne Valley with some of the best views in the Dordogne.  Enjoy the flora and fauna right from your private terrace whilst dining alfresco with your family and friends. 
 
The Pool & Gardens   Surrounded by open countryside with long distance views over unexploited countryside stretching down to the meandering river Dronne and beyond. The large swimming pool (12 x 13 metres) has ample paved terrace and well-kept lawns for sunbathing on the comfortable sun loungers, cushions and parasols provided.

Location description

La Treille is situated in the Department of the Dordogne in the Aquitaine region of SW France.

The Dordogne is also fondly known as the 'Perigord Vert' because of its lush scenic countryside with forests, lakes, hills, valleys and meandering rivers.  Discover and explore the many Chateaux with their gardens and vineyards, the ancient cities, towns and villages with their colourful traditional markets and stunning architecture. 

La Treille is ideally situated near the villages of Montagrier & Tocane St Apre with their lovely shops & restaurants - perfect for picking up your morning baguettes & croissants. They are near enough to walk to if you wish (5 minute drive) although we recommend a car. Slightly further afield is the market town of Riberac (15 minute drive) and the city of Perigueux (25 minute drive) where you have a perfect mix of modern and traditional shopping with many restaurants, traditional markets and café bars.
 
We are ideally located in between Bordeaux, Angoulême & Bergerac and within easy reach of 4 major airports of which Bergerac Airport is the closest to the property.
