Property description
Eucalyptus is a 300 year old 'petite maison' that abounds with character! The cottage is one of five, set within the seven acres of 'Le Jardin des Amis' in the village of Meyrals. The property has been renovated to provide comfortable modern facilities whilst retaining its traditional look, with stone walls and exposed beams. This one bedroomed cottage can sleep up to three with the use of the sofa bed in the living area (for a small child we can also put a camp bed or cot in the bedroom & provide high chair/baby bath etc. - please ask).
The ground floor room is open-plan, incorporating a well equipped fitted kitchen area with gas hob/electric oven, microwave oven, kettle, coffee maker, & toaster. (Shared laundry facilities can be found to the rear of the cottage) There is a dining table and chairs + comfortable armchairs and sofa.
Stairs lead up to the light and airy double bedroom with sloping ceilings and exposed oak beams. The bedroom has a vanity unit with wash hand basin and an ensuite shower room.
To the front of the cottage is a private patio with table, chairs and barbecue under a wisteria covered pergola, looking out over a shared lawned area.
Guests have shared use of the large 'salt-system' swimming pool around which can be found plenty of sun loungers and umberellas. We have a pool bar where guests can enjoy a cooling drink or meet other guests over a glass of wine. The bar also houses our library of books and games which are available for the entertainment of all guests.

Location description
The property is situated on the edge of the medieval village of Meyrals (two restaurants, boulangerie, charcuterie, bar and weekly market). Just 6km away is Les Eyzies de Tayac, centre of prehistory in the Vezere Valley with the world famous prehistoric paintings in the 'Font de Gaume' caves, along with many other caves where evidence of prehistoric life such as sculptures/carvings & paintings can be viewed..
The beautiful town of Sarlat (15k) can be reached in 20 minutes, whilst less than 10 minutes drive will take you to the small town of St. Cyprien with it's big Sunday marketand a range of other shops including a Carrefour supermarket.
The Dordogne valley, with its numerous attractions including the castles at Beynac & Castlenaud, bastide towns, pretty villages such as Roque Gageac, canoeing, gabare trips and much more is just to the south of us.

Terms and conditions
A 25% deposit is required to confirm a booking, with the balance to be paid six weeks before the start of the holiday.
Prices are inclusive of bed linen and towels (but not pool towels which may be hired if wished).
A 'Taxe de Sejour' is charged by the local authorities: €0.4per adult/child over 13, per night.
A 150€ damage deposit is required on arrival (returned on departure)
