A picturesque ancient cottage on a small hill with private terrace / garden area to the front of the 17th century character property overlooking miles of rolling countryside yet close to all facilities.

Property description

Our cottage is in a lovely setting, peaceful and quiet for two people, yet only a couple of kilometres from a bustling 13th century town.

The property has a lovely quiet terrace / garden where you can spend time relaxing, enjoying the scenery and peacefulness, or perhaps sampling the local Bergerac wines...

The gite features a lounge with dining area, a kitchen (open plan to the lounge, around a corner at the end of the L shaped room), a double bedroom and a shower room (feature large shower). There is a TV (French only) and a DVD player witha good selection of DVD"s on hand.

There is one other gite on the site that shares the pool (with occasional use by the owners, who live across the courtyard from the property).

Location description

Close to the border between the Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne departments, the house is 2 km (a pleasant walk) from Villereal, a very popular 13th century bastide town.
Also within 15-20km you can visit Monpazier and Monflanquin (both classified as most beautiful villages), the bastide town of Castillonnes and the very well preserved medieval town at Issigeac.
Bergerac is approximately 25km, and the numerous picturesque towns and villages along the Dordogne river are also within easy reach.

Price Details

Low season: £250 (290 euros) per week for weeks in May, June and September
Mid and High season: £350 (400 euros) per week for weeks in July and August
