Chateau du Rayet is situated close to the attractive bastide town of Villereal. Close by are a large number of medieval villages, bastide towns, castles, pre-historic caves and lovely scenery including the beautiful Dordogne river.
Activities available close by include canoing, golf, horse-riding and of course Chateau du Rayet itself has a beautiful pool for its guests to enjoy.
The region is famous for its wine and gastronomy. Truffles, foie gras and confit de canard are some of the regions favourites and there are some excellent wine chateaus and many good restaurants nearby.
